Dunk Low "Awareness"

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, we bring to you the Dunk Low "Awareness". Originally titled the "Cactile Input" ( Cactus + Tactile = Cactile lol). Designed with a licensed Occupational Therapist that works with amazingly AUsome kids in the schools, we combined science and style just for you. The interchangeable swooshes are designed to offer increased sensory input to help with sensory seeking, one of the characteristics of Autism. 

The peeling of the velcro offers auditory input (sound) and kids love the feel and repetition of ripping them on and off. The main standard swoosh is a bold statement of the repetitive puzzle pattern significant to the ASD community. The red swoosh offers deep metallic grooves that can be rubbed or followed by little fingers. The yellow swoosh is made of a rough, scratchy material for those looking for a more intense feel. Finally, the mirrored swoosh offers a reflective image of the greatest piece of art ever put on a shoe...you. The laces are mixed to be half red and half white, which offers visual discrimination, making learning to tie laces much easier. The word AWARENESS in a bold yellow is placed on the heel of the shoe to let the world know the overall message behind your kicks. 

Price is based off market value and includes SHOE PLUS SERVICE. Shoes are custom made to order and may have slight variation among pairs. Customer will be notified of any changes prior to creation. Please allow 8 - 10 weeks for delivery.
